Luis Breuer, the managing partner for Paraguay, moderated the panel “The Reform of Investment Arbitration – Different Approaches and Repercussions” during the special edition of the Latin American Arbitration Conference, held as part of the General Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law, titled GENERAL CONGRESS ASUNCIÓN 2022.
On this panel, Juan Ignacio Massun (CPA — Buenos Aires), Alexandre Senegacnik (IACL — Paris), and Paul Arrighi (Estudio Arrighi Abogados — Montevideo) debated a reform of the dispute settlement system to improve issues such as decision coherence, cost control, the role of the arbitrator, and the duration of proceedings.
