Felipe Córdoba Pizarro
Felipe Córdoba specializes in Tax Law, including tax consulting and planning, corporate tax strategies, and tax mediation and litigation. With extensive experience in both public and private sectors, Felipe brings a robust understanding of taxation matters to his practice.
Born in Quito, Ecuador, Felipe was admitted to practice law in Ecuador in 2002. He earned his Jurisprudence Doctor degree from Catholic University of Ecuador, and further advanced his tax expertise with a Diploma in Taxation (2006) and a Specialization in Tax Policy and Technique at the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) in Panama (2007-2008).
Felipe has a distinguished career in Ecuador’s tax administration, having served as the Zonal Director 9 of the Internal Revenue Service (2020-2024), National Head of the Claims Department (2014), Head of Tax Collections (2019-2020), and Metropolitan Tax Director in Quito (2014-2017). He also held roles as Metropolitan Director of Real Estate Management (2017-2018) and Office Advisor to the Metropolitan Mayor’s Office of Quito.
